» IGI2 Review

This is Tommy. Tells people he was named after a gun, but I know he was really named after a famous 19th century ballet dancer. That explains why he's a bitter, bitter boy and founded Project GPI2ARRTASUTPJ: Give Project IGI2 A Really Rough Time And Subject Us To Project Jokes. Well, at least the ballet dancer theory explains why nobody wants to bunk with him at E3.

well I agree with tom about the flaws and I´ve noticed them
too, in fact most games reviewed nowadays are biased because they
hardly ever judge the fun factor. It´s shear stupid dificulty
level makes me want to get even more bored. I have played level 2
about 100 times and finally am beginning to realize that igi has a
sort of appealing factor in that its challenge makes you want to see
what´s really ahead, actually I think I might die trying to
finish this game. Obviosly I never buy games, well a ways back I
used to buy carts and few PSX CDs but before piracy became the in
thing. lol. That saved me from buying this game because the intro
graphics do suck, maybe the guy that said the graphics and this and
that sucked played it on a sucky machne, the first level is cool, i
love the thermal imager, sorry but IGI2 stands way behind hitman2
and Splintercell and even IGI1. oh and majorly flawed on mechanics,
the peek feature, and the uzi snipers.lol. I do think its fun
though, i love the genre. I HATE IT WHEN YOU SHOOT AT SOMETHING and
THE #!@$&%# THING DOES NOT KEEP BLEEDING FROM THE FLESH ENTRY
WOUNDS. I HATE CENSORS. I WANT FLESH WOUNDS MORE REALISTIC. IN
HITMAN 2 I WANTED TO DISFIGURE THE DOCTOR IN THE HOSPITAL LEVEL BUT
I COULDN´T I WANT TO CUT UP ALL THE FACES AND DIMEMBER THE
BODYPARTS WITH MY KNIFE WHY CAN´T I DOI THAT.

CAUSE ITS JUST A BLOODY GAME , (ie.it sucks compared to reality) in
reality you´d be throwing up!

lol, your pc sucks and your review of the reviewer also, its a
%@$@##& OPINION, get it, IGI AI sucks and most too, AI doesn´t
exist, the whole term AI is overstated, Half life rocks!!! Project
Igi 1 was better even with the $%&#&!@ enemy "AI", and IGI
2 i find it challenging and cool when somebody tried to shoot at me
with an uzi a 500 metres a actually hit me in the head, the game is
more challenging, maybe unrealistic in many aspects but who cares it
a GAME not LIFE, project igi reminds me of games when they used to
be FUN. Oh and in the second level do I have to jump on the top part
of the elevator shaft so the enemy doesn´t see me . I almost
did it but i died.

Well for me, I judge by how enjoyable the game. I like IGI2. Is it
perfect? No. Is it fun? Yes. I give it a 9 out of 10.

LMAO, the reviewer is really a funny guy! I have just finished the
last level and the review is very right about the annoying /
inconsistent / stupid things in the game. But it takes 2 or 3 days
to complete the single player mode, and at the moment I just feel
satisfied having completed all the missions. I may even think of
playing the chinese temple level where you kill a thousand guys
through walls. It wasn't that bad IMO.

55% is fair, the game doesnt even address what it was supposed to
be, as they said the AI sux, stealth is just stupid so the whole
game does deserve the score.

I'm not defending FS or whatever but reviews are reviews and
shouldn't be flamed for what the reviewer's saying so long as Tom's
not making up facts and he's not, is he?

No reviews can be 100% objective.

But then again I still find it hard to understand how so many people
fell in love with BHD... -_-;

Tastes differ anyway...

uh? This only means their big budget was a waste. No big deal,
mistakes happen in every industry, and IGI2 sure is one of them.

I've played it for a while, sure it got flaws, but so has almost
every game on the market...

I don't feel 55% is a fair rating, when you consider a similar game
like Hitman 2 gets 83% and it hasn't even got multi!

But then again the old IGI back in early 2001 only got 68% just
because the reviewer didn't like the genre or something...

80% would be a more correct rating, but that's only IMHO... ;)

"50% for an average game" is a fairly bogus statement.
With the "average" game having a budget in the millions of
dollars, and the competion for shelf space in stores, most games
that get reviewed should be around the 70% mark (ie average")
while the top games get 85%+.

This means when you see a game that gets 50%, you automatically
think it must be crap, when infact it may be a perfectly fine game,
especially if your a fan of the genre.
