Drafting helps the person in front because it reduces the drag that
the person creates.

Guys l don't care about graphics l care about drive ability and
being able to use my favorite controller which is not the dual
shock, it's the negcon which l'm great at using.
l've played many times linked to other playstation one's and always
kick some .... using the negcon on gran turismo 2 l hope they
support other controlers on gt4.
since they made the bloody controler and l bought it thinking other
future gran turismo games like gt2 would support the negcom which
sadly gt3 is not supporting , hmmmm not fare it only works with gt2.

Papyrus did make a great indy car racing game in 96-97(?) that ran
well on my Pentium 75 laptop. I easily overlooked the graphical
jaggies, since the gameplay and physics were there.
I had so much free time back then, that I changed all the driver's
names to F1 drivers and also made custom decal and paint jobs to
match the F1 cars at that time, it was really quite gratifying. Too
bad it was unrealistic to run F1 cars on ovals!
I liked laguna seca in that game as well, very accurate, especially
the corkscrew turn near the end of the lap, you really had to be in
gear 1!

Further reason to buy a PS2 (why can't we get games like this on
PC?) And I hate Laguna Seca, in every single racong game I've
played. I spell it c.u.n.t.

Yes. Though even if they look pixelated in stopped frames, they
still have a better overall quality than what you get in PC games
like "Collin Mc Rae" and the like.
More pixels != More quality

I think we need to change the way we think about graphics in
computer games. We need to look at them in context, rather then just
picking faults in screenshots. By this, I mean that if the
spectators look good when the player is racing and flying by them at
300km/h, that should be enough. We shouldn't care if same spectators
look pixelated when we stop the car and look at them close up,
because in the game this never happens.
If you look at the screenshots of GT3 and probably GT4, they don't
look so good, but in context (at least for GT3), they look great.
