Signing up takes too long. Well Monster Arena is the coolest part
of the game, after you finish the game because it is really
challenging. You capture monsters, this guy genetically mutates
them, combining attributes of various monsters, you got unique super
monsters to fight that once they are defeated you win great stuff.
Go to gamefaqs.com to find out about it.

Well you can summon Aeons, well Yuna can, 7 in all, in that respect
it is like Pokemon, but any RPG where you get to summon monsters to
your enemies it like Pokemon in that respect.

@%%@! you're making me feel totally bad now that I passed up on
Xenosaga .. Though I promised myself I'll never play RPGs again,
since I have a family and am always already busy with stuff. They
happen to be away for a while right now, that's why I had the chance
to fight through FFX. O well, we can't have everything, right?

Hey, why don't you register? Anyway I think you misread me a
little, I did play FFX all the way through, it was a great trip,
just to advance the story and the uniquely original sphere grid,
where you upgrade your party's stats. It was totally enjoyable,
though I didn't go into the nitty gritty of getting the extra aeons,
getting the ultimate weapons nor train the chocobos.
Ya know what, FFX is a little like Pokemon in some ways, you can
call in your monster (aeon) and he fights for you. You command the
monster, and you can dismiss him. "Bahamut, I choose
YOU!"

Hey boogeyman_22, why don't you write a user review on it? I'm sure
others will find it inciteful and useful to refer to. Once this
news thread gets harder to find in the archvies, your use reviews
will be easily found when users are reading through the article.
Please share!

I bought Arc a few days after it came out and got all into it, but
stopped playing right before the end section. I really should finish
it. Its a pretty good rpg, feels really weird at first, but it kind
of grows on you. All in all I think it was worth the $50 I paid for
it. I just need ot finish it. Maybe play through it again now that I
understand it better.

You have to be willing to give Xenosaga about 3 hours. You fight
for about 30 minutes in the simulator, then you can spend up to two
hours running around the Woglinde - the ship you're on. No big
surprise, the ship gets attacked. If you don't like it by the time
the attack on the ship ends, then you can say you've given the game
a fair try and can quit. I'll admit it can be a little slow up
until that point, but just commit about 5 hours to it and then you
won't want to quit.
As for the talking during fights, ya that can get old, but the voice
acting during the cutscenes with the main characters is very good.
Each character is very unique - especially a young "girl"
called MOMO - and there's a lot of question about each character you
want answered. Hopefully Episode II answers those questions.
I really liked the ability to customize the characters with ether,
skill, and tech points gained from fights. And the card game inside
Xenosaga is the best mini-game I've ever seen. I'm hooked on it.
For me, Xenosaga ranks up there with the best RPGs I ever played
(Chrono Trigger, Dragon Warrior IV, FF VI, FF VII). And maybe one
of the best games I've ever played.
