I didn't notice any real focus on image quality within this review.
Given there have been a number of accusations that NV have dumbed
down quality for speed I am suprised it wasn't tested here.

The review claims that the gffx5950 has a intake vent. All other
reviews I've seen says it's an exhaust vent. Who is right?

Spend $500 usa dollars on a video card. That about $750.00 in
Canadian amount. NO WAY.
I would by the Radeon 9800 AIW card for cheaper and still get a far
superior card in the long run that this lousy one.

The two slot killer imho only in mini pc:s example ones shuttle is
shipping.
Didint mean to hurt anybodys feelings but I still stand behind my
words when I said Firingsquad should be little more farsighted.
If your dishing 500€ into a vidcard atleast I , would like to know
will it run games 6 months from now. And as your average surfer I
can find that kinda information from the web allrdy, so shouldnt be
too hard.
As Iam little more to ATI:s side at the moment there sure are
enought things to make me think so.
- 5 times more time programming for Nvidia than ATI in HL2
- Lowered IQ in many new games ( ok you cant notice em if you
arent using zoom and still pictures )
- ForceWare indeed, you cannot set true Trilinear no matter what you
do with Nvidia.
- the list goes on if you dig up forums.
All these things are matter of principal I guess except the first
one.
One more thing I miss in reviews mostly is the price comparing , in
my country I can get 150€ cheaper R9800pro than 5900ultra , and not
to mention in most cases it is faster R9800pro that is.

It's far from a killer. Most people leave the slot next to the video
card open for better cooling for the card. Another reason why to
leave the slot below open is that resorces are shared between the
AGP slot and PCI slot one. It's rare in this day and age where
someone uses all the slots anyway.

Didn't look at the ATI boards to see which ones supported DX 8.1.
Didn't seem to be worth the effort seeing how if I where to look at
a graphics card nowdays it would have to have DX 9 support.

Yoshi,
Ati DX8 boards, 8500/9000/9100/9200, all support DX8.1.
It's only with Nvidia that you need a DX9 board for DX8.1 effects.
The DX8 boards, Geforce 3 and 4Ti, only support DX8.0.
