Deus Ex: Invisible War looks like a bomb... here are my reasons:
No reloading,
No skills,
Unified ammunition
(sniper rifle, riot prod and pistol all use the same ammo type),
You can *not* get a one shot kill (even with a head shot) from a
pistol PERIOD (this -may- change but is unlikely),
and all these are AFTER the game has gone gold. so these are ALL
present in a unpatched version save the head shot which *may* be
present.
they removed/screwed up everything that made deus ex great.
halo while good SP was a lame attempt to sell copies via the 'halo'
name, the total LACK of co-op MP was the single stupidest choice
bungie coulda made, GTA3 was lame it was to consoley, and VC was
horribly worse.
DE:IW is a console sellout version of deus ex. expect VERY little
from this game and youll be about right, Ion Storm is yet another
company to tell us to kiss their corporate ass's and to stfu while
they try to rob us blind with over-priced montrosities such as deus
ex 2. this game will probally run $49.99 which is $29.99 more then
im willing to pay for such an incredible failure!
Ion storm is doing this in an attempt to sell off the deus ex name
with doing very little actual work. look at the facts: they DIDNT
listen to 90% of the people that played and loved deus ex and
removed the best features of one of the best games ever made!
they probably threw something together in photoshop to keep
investers interested... how else to you exlain the 3 years of
'working' to come up with this horrible peice of software!
they tried to turn a secret agent simulation game into a mindless
shooter much like the incredibly dissapointing half-life, and SO

I'm pretty sure they'll add options to turn down the details, for
the sake of lower-end systems.

Woohoo!!! More cooperative multiplayer campaigning!!!
......oops, that was System Shock 2
WTF??!! Why is that such a rare feature? Hi-Speed Internet and Lan
parties are common these days. Think how cool it would be to be
able to play through the campaign with your friends. SS2 did it
before cable/dsl and lan parties were common, why not these pseudo
sequels?

P.S. About what options might be available and not available now, I
have seen it mentioned that this game has problems with ATI cat3.8
drivers and some other niggles with ATI cards.
Would it be wise for ION to release the game and demo if they still
had lots of bug issues? Nope.
I am not sure why they have taken the gamble with the 3.8 issues but
from what I have read about that driver lots of games don't like it,
that seems to me to be more an ATI problem than a game problem.

Two that could be adjusted in this "early" build of the
code. Maybe they have a lot more that they haven't got tweaked fully
yet that they chose not to enable in this release of code.
Not sure what the demo has (just downloading it at the moment) but
even so that will only be the demo. This game is still 3months away
from its slated release date, thats a hell of a lot of time for them
to alter some of the smaller "details" in the game.
At the end of the day we will just have to wait and see what is put
out, I jsut get annoyed that people seem determined to slagg this
game off on things that we really know nothing about. All I am
saying is lets give Warren Spector and ION a little faith (given
their track record I think they have earned it) and see what they
put on the shelf before we judge it.

I think Dues Ex Invisible War will be an all around excellent
game consisting of lots of planning, strategy and depth, to
mention a few. I absolutely loved the first game, and have read
allot about IW, and to say the least. it looks very promissing. I am
definetly going to be getting this game when it
comes out.

<QUOTE> more console buggery with no graphical options
imo.
The game that FS and others have been reviewing IS NOT FINISHED YET.
Why not have a little faith in Warren Spector and ION, who have
produced a fair number of the best PC games ever.
There are games out there that show that multi platform games can be
amazing, just look at GTA3, VC and Halo. Thats not to say DE2 will
be, but lets give these guys the benefit of the doubt until the game
is finished. *GRRRR*
