 Tiger Woods Out...Until August!

| | (Post a comment) » Victoria ReviewJakub, our resident historical strategy and Paradox fan, looks like he's been fed some, sour, sour grapes by Victoria. Indeed, his lament about Counter-Strike seems pitiably half-hearted compared to the disappointment he's faced with Victoria. Still, if you dig deep enough, there may be a decent game for you. The rest of us should stay away. | Previous news article | Back to main news | Next news article |

Thank you. Maybe by patch 1.10 ... I suffered too much with MOO3 and
when you say of Victoria "there are those who can look past its
problems and enjoy the game within." I've done this a couple
times too many and life is too short.

i totaly agree, the game is totaly unbalanced, it's like they made
all the options but didn't bother with playtesting, the only way to
make it playable is to do a whole lot of editing the scenarios, and
that is not something a regular user should do, even then, the way
to victory is not a historical one, play a continental european
power, avoid colonisation and expand on your neighbours, since
colonies are not worth it, or play usa and conquer mexico and
canada, or brasil, turn on latin america... and playing great
britain is the dullest of all...
...it could have been much better, so, we should wait for patch
1.10, maybe then...

This game is technologically inferior. Has anyone noticed the
numerous amounts of homosexual references in the manual? Anyways
this game is superior and is recommended to all audiences.

For what it is worth, 1.03 is going to address every single issue
the reviewer brought up.
Partisans were NOT working as intended. They were broken. They are
fixed for 1.03!

Well, Im a huge Vic fan, and a member of the forums. Despite my
support for Vixtoria, I must say all of the things you said are
perfectly correct. The partisan system is out of whack, The economy
in v1.02 isnt impressive, to say the least. However, as you said,
there is hope.

I liked Victoria 1.00 and 1.00, though they were a bit annoying.
But 1.02 came crashing through the wall like that big fat Kool-Aid
guy and ruined the whole thing. I was like "wtf?! which end is
up or down?" after that fiasco known as 1.02. I think Paradox
has just lost interest and in so doing has lost the ability to
produce good games. Sadly, the sun does set on Victoria (and
Paradox).
