Why do all games (I think even FarCry) have to have some 'super
natural' spinoff in a desperate attempt to be creative and original?
RTCW didn't need it, and this doesn't either. Why can't they just
make a western-themed fps? To keep the weapons interesting they
could add experimental 'high tech' weapons in the mix if they must,
but stop with the undead thing people!

Great interview and it looks to be a pretty cool game. Definitely
something to keep an eye on. I hope it eventually finds it's way to
the PC someday so I can play it on a platform that could actually do
it justice and not on a flawed I/O system that makes your hands ache
faster than Jack Bristow can tighten thumb screws and video-wise is
an optometrist's wet dream.

A western shooter sounds risky, but yeah gameplay is king. But...
FPS are FPS'es... is hard to innovate in big ways.
Prince of persia Sands of time was IMO a big innovation for a
platform 3d game. (i.e. running on walls, jumping off walls,
swinging the bar, climbing poles, etc, etc and all combinations of
it) but of course it was the player controls which made all of those
fun. It's good to hear Rory say how much Sammy is focusing on those
areas.
Regarding the horse riding part, I wonder how much different to a
player who is on foot, I hope it makes it different enough to make
the horse fight certain enemies easier, and certain enemies harder,
or else I'd always want to use the horse.
For vampire jump, when I first heard it, I just imagined that the
player would jump, and it would slow down as he gets to the top of
the jump height, which makes look like max payne slow-mo but in real
time, i.e. the surrounding never slows down but the jump does that
at the top.
Ah for the tip for going in the industary I was actually very
interested in that part. I always thought the best way is to design
levels/mods to make a portfolio first, and this confirms my
thoughts. Yeah I want to one day get in the industary, too.
