Not into Vietnam - I will continue to play the best mod made for
BF1942 - Forgotten Hope. If you haven't tried the latest version
(1.61) you're missing out. All aspects are outstanding. Even a few
of you DC guys will be converted, I'm sure. The completely new
"Omaha Beach 1944" is a work of art. Try it, love it.

I haven't looked back since I started playing DC. Vanilla BF is just
too slow and boring.
I found the speed and ferosity of DC to add heaps to gameplay. There
are many more weapons and much more variety in ways to play. I am
excellent at flying choppers and love to fly them, I dig tanks and
can fly planes well enough to make a difference. I am completely at
home with Close Quarters Combat like in Berlin or LostVillage. Using
the Barrett is awesome.
I love the variety of DC. Vanilla BF doesn't have it and neither
does BFV.
I have found that some people prefer the slower pace of Vanilla, and
that is fine. It is a lot easier to die in DC.

If you liked BF1942, If you liked DC and EOD, you will love BFV.
It has elements from all and yet it has updated graphics and a few
new features.
I love the game so far and it was worth the money IMO.
I will probably be playing BFV for the next week or so instead of
DC/EOD.
The music just adds to it. Don't go in expecting anything except to
have a good time.

This game sucks. It's buggy, bloated, nothing more than a mod of
BF1942, and most of all, boring. Get UT2004. It rocks!

bf:v promised new sound and yes the individual sounds are good but
the balance of radio command vs faraway sounds vs close sounds is
f'd up. the radio command are way too loud and the faraway sounds
are way to soft. Footsteps are too soft too.
DC has great production values but can't hold a candle to bf42's fun
gameplay. DC just made a mess of the original's gameplay. Sure it
has nice looking modern vehicles and weapons. But really it was a
just a vehicle showcase more than a game. It just wasn't fun.
Well the same could be said of bf:v so far. It doesn't have the
same magic as the original. However if you want nam it gives you
nam. Give them props for that. Grass to hide in. Jungle
atmosphere. helis. brown murky rivers with patrol boats. great
weapons sounds. it all looks good. but feels a bit flat. i guess
it's harder for someone who plays bf42 to adjust to this game then
someone who hasn't played it.
