| | (Post a comment) » ATI ALL-IN-WONDER 9600 XT ReviewATI's ALL-IN-WONDER line are widely considered to be the finest all-in-one multimedia cards on the market. Whether you want to watch TV and DVDs, play games, or get some work done, there's no task ALL-IN-WONDER can't handle. ATI's latest AIW card, the ALL-IN-WONDER 9600 XT, is based on a faster version of the RADEON 9600 XT VPU with a faster core and memory. The card also supports dual VGA, REMOTE WONDER II, and FM tuning. See how this card compares to previous ALL-IN-WONDER cards, as well as the slower desktop RADEON 9600 PRO and 9600 XT, in addition to the changes ATI has implemented in its new remote control unit. We've also got some shots of Acura's new RL prototype inside! | Previous news article | Back to main news | Next news article |

I think that everyone wanting a LCD likes the desktop space it saves
more than anything, you don't realize how much space your CRT eats
up till you take it off your desk. But yes you do sacrifice
quality. Just funny how the non-AIW cards have at least one DVI
output.
Now that I think about it, I'd rather wait till PCI Express cards
ship since I need a new computer anyways.

Acutally, my AIW 9800Pro *ONLY* has DVI out, and I have to use an
adaptor (which comes with it) to connect my regular 15 pin monitor.
It looks like the 9600 versions also are DVI out only, but it's a
wacky square shape, and I can't understand why they use it. I would
think you'd need an adaptor for it no matter what connection your
monitor has.
