 Tiger Woods Out...Until August!

| | (Post a comment) » Tribes: Vengeance Multiplayer Preview...and God said "Let there be Tribes", looked upon it, and saw it was good. What man did with it thereafter wasn't quite up to snuff, but it seems we're learning. Learning very well, judging by Tribes: Vengeance. Faster, stronger, higher - normally terms reserved for the Olympics, they certainly fit Tribes: Vengeance to a 't'. Check out why in Jakub's glowing preview. ( I'm not bullsh*tting you, you know like that orange... aura or whatever of his? I seen it! The preview glows!) | Previous news article | Back to main news | Next news article |

Well I thought the the dev team was trying to re invent the wheel
when they made T2. T:V is a combo of T1 and 2, while still trying to
keep the gameplay T1 style. I like the feel and look of T:V. Yes it
is different, but with the new mods coming out soon (Renegades, and
Starsiege), you will again be able to carry more weapons and have a
choice of several armors. I hardly ever played T1 base. Once I got
hooked on the Shifter mods, I couldnt go back to base. So even me
playing the base version of T:V at times can be frustrating. So I'm
gunna hang out and wait for the mods :)

Tribes Vengeance is a pile of crap. There are absolutely no support
classes anymore. You can only carry 3 weapons now? The vehicles
suck! It is basically Unreal Tournament 2004 with Tribes skins over
it. Don't buy this game. Tribes 2 is amuch better game. I hate
them for making this game. It has no support jobs any more. You
can carry turrents as a light armour guy now. The repair pack is
just pure crap. You don't even have to aim now to repair equipment.
There are now health packs. They made skiing in the game
completely @#&@$$@$. Now you ski all the time automatically. $$
it! I am going to punch my screen if I talk about it anymore.
Download the demo and realize this game is just a mod for Unreal
Tournament 2004 and not a tribes game.
This is from a TRUE TRIBES fan.

“Tribes: Vengeance isn't a sequel but a prequel. How this is
possible in a world almost completely devoid of a story is difficult
to say, but it clearly does occur before the other two titles.
Everything has a more primitive, industrial look.”
I'm sorry this is completely false. Tribes is part of the Starsiege
Universe, which has a very significant backstory. Any Tribes
die-hard would know that.

A game devoid of story? What the hell is the matter with you? How
can you be a Starsiege Tribes fan and are not even cognizant of the
rich, detailed history of the universe? It may not be present much
in the Tribes games, that's for sure.

Anyways, easy solution to all of this is just to try the Tribes:
Vengeance open beta, or the one week exclusive fileplanet beta
before that. Fileplanet beta is hopefully next week, with the open
following.
