Intel F-ed up years ago... You will see both AMD and Intel peater
out at about 5 to 5.6 Ghz and then the real war will start as both
companies are moving from Mhz and to making the chips do more and
that is where AMD will win as they have a strong lead in that. In
thearoy A chip that runs at 1 Mhz can do more then ANY chip out
there, if it was built right.

I think you are taking it to an extream and the AMD does not jump in
bed with anyone... the game companies build around the AMD CPU
because the way AMD thinks is like you crossing the street, Intel
Chips think as if you were to walk around the world to cross the
same street; and if Intel were so good why are more and more movie
companies moving to AMD built systems to render all their sound,
CGI, and CAD for their movies?
I will tell you way what AMD will do in one (1) clock rate is what
Intel will do in about three (3).
Besides do you have any idea how meny laws Intel brakes day to day?
Intel still uses lead in the production of their chips. The Chips
are very susceptible to heat. You can't upgrade the CPU half the
time in Intel systems because 70% of the time by the time you need
to upgrade no one sell the socket anymore and if they do you can't
do squat with it as there is no supporting BIOS update for the
system board you have. Then even if there is Intel till insits on
craming the memory controler onto the the Systemboard for some
stupid reason; giving a massive bottleneck to your very expencive
upgrade that leaves you with a fancy version of the CPU you started
with.
You have non of that with AMD I can still order old Durons for My
kid brother's old school computer.
I work with Intel and AMD every day of my life I am becomong more
unhappy with Intel each day and I has come to the point I have
stopped selling Intel all together I will fix them but no longer
build with Intel. Funny thing is it has not hurt my sales as yes
there are some people that will not look at AMD at all but they have
been replaced with the "Hardcore A

ghz) wheather its 1 app running or many intel has the performance
down pat while amd AMD IS catching up slowly AMDs gaming hype is BS
its all media hype and partenerships with game related companies and
whoever said that all that matters is da chipsets and gfx crd is a
f-up mo-ron u saying that a bad chipset with a 3.4 ghz is better
than a comp with a good chipset and 1.5 ghz? idiot.

Screw the processor, the only important part is the chipset and the
Video card.

AMD is doing what Intel used to do. The tables have turned.
And both companies up the MHz by 200 each time. True, there's no
rush for AMD to come out with the FX57 since they just came out with
the FX55. It has enough power to play all of todays games at
lightning fast speeds. My FX53 gets 120fps in D3, 91 FPS in
Counter-Strike at 1600x1200 with all detail up.

wow intel is in alot worse shape than i thought
I thought they might compete a little considering AMD isnt releasing
tons of chips because they are so far ahead they dont need too
I figured that this might signal AMD to release another chip, but it
looks like they are still in the lead by a good margin, but they do
only have 4 processors solidly ahead..... oh wait those are the only
ones that they benchmarked against the new intel processor..... I go
back to, wow intel is in worse shape than i thought
