 Tiger Woods Out...Until August!

| | (Post a comment) » World War II Online: 1.18 UpdateGreat changes have come to World War II Online in recent months. New tanks, new planes, paratroopers, air transports, destroyable bridges, attack objectives and mobile spawn locations. Read Jakub's latest article about his guilty pleasure. Here's quote: " Learning to play ww2ol is like getting a root canal, only longer. But now that I have, I can't quit playing until I at least shoot down Rebel357 in his damn H81 (AKA P-40 Warhawk)." | Previous news article | Back to main news | Next news article |

This game has got to be my first most favorit online game i have
ever played. I like the fack they are building up on everything like
the paratroopers the graphics, sound, and more. But i also like that
you can get your ranks moved for every person tank ect you kill.

All the talk of how long it takes to play the game is not true. You
can get almost instant action by defending a town under attack, or
by spawning from a mobile spawn. Or spawn at a town and walk to the
FB (5 min-10 min, and recon, or if your brave start sniping the
infantry there. Once you kill a coouple of people doing that you
will get all the action you want.
You can Lone wolf. I have been a lone wolf for quite some time now,
I would not recomend that though.
I never have been part of a resupply that took 3 hours. I have
grabbed a tank from behind the lines, and drove for 20 - 30 minutes
though. That is all it takes.
I play for one hour at a time all the time, you just can't get
envoled in a big OP when you do. When I spawn in for a mission or 2
it is to kill. You don't have to be part of a orginized attack to
kill someone/something.
How long you play at one time is strickly up to you. If you have a
short time to play you just change your tactics is all. It is not a
game you have to dedicate your life to have fun.

Over the years I've played many games but nothing has ever come
close to the experience you can have in WWII.
There's moments of tension when you're sneaking up behind a tank to
stick a sapper charge on it's side. The excitement of battle when
you storm into a town with your squad mates at your side. The
cunning of creeping into the opponent's base to destroy it, the
terror of hearing the enemy tanks in the distance coming towards
you, or the elation when your side capture's a town after a battle
lasting several hours. No other game can give such a range of
emotions.
And there are very few, if any, other games where you can drive
tanks, fly planes, captain destroyers or use anti tank and anti
aircraft guns all accurately modelled on the real thing.
But don't take my word for it, use the free trial to find out
exactly what WWII can offer.

Can anybody answer why do you need to drive for 3 hours to supply
for an attack? I was wondering why the select few control what
cities to take and what not to take? Just a few questions as why I
left.

If you are twitchy and think MOH is uber-realistic, just forget
about this game.
If you want realism, excitement, and meaning to your gaming. Try
WWIIOL.

This is not a game for kiddies who want instant gratification.
This is not a game where you do not have patience with yourself and
others.
This is not a game where your want super graphics.
This is not a game where you expect a complete how to manual.
This is not a game where you want to play only an hour or so.
This is not a game where you want to be completly a lone wolf.
This is not a game where you don't expect to die right away.
This is not a game where you don't want to have bugs. (What MMORPG
game doesn't have bugs?)
This is not a game where you expect it to stay the same.
Heard about this game over two years ago but did not start playing
unitl Oct of '04. Wished I started sooner.
The learning curve is steep. First 10 times I spawned in as an rifle
infrantryman I was killed within one minute. Duh, learned to crawl
and not to expose yourself as in real life battle.
Has a great community who are willing to help noobs and old time
players.
You can find online how to manuals. And by looking in the forums you
can find alot of useful and needed information to enhance your
playing enjoyment.
Team work is great. Join a squad and have fun doing joint missions.
Download Team Speak. This will really add to your enjoyment.
You can play as a Lone Wolf but don't expect to play as Rambo. Lone
Wolfs find themselves depending on other players in some heated
combat.
You will find this game additive. Your family, job, and sleep will
get in the way of playing.
