I agree, I wish they could have more than one follower helping you
out. since I only get one, I typically keep Dawn Star and ignore
the rest, her chi-regen makes me unstoppable.

same thing with KOTOR...why allow only 2 other members in your
party? I'm presuming its just a performance issue, but it alwasy
makes me focus on only 2-3 NPCs and I ignore the rest.

wish they could get the ENTIRE group of NPCs in KOTOR1/2 engaged in
a battle....imagine how big the lightsaber battles could be!
*drool!*

Manual Combat... it's a bit like a ARPG basically... except this
game seems to take out the ARPG puzzle solving bits and replaces
them with the traditional Bioware menu and character based puzzle
solving.

It really would be a mercilessly great game if it were some how able
to incorporate the ARPG parts with the traditional CRPG parts (i.e.
have great 'manual/action based combat, along with some good
platform type puzzles (ARPG puzzles), combined with the indepth
character interaction of Bioware RPGs as well as indepth stat and
item building that's part and parcel of any good RPG)...

now if only that could be done while not hemming the game into a
niche!

gaming journalism really is going into the crapper (present company
excluded of course, its so blatant too with all these artificially
high scores that these games keep on getting.

Granted, I'm really enjoying Jade Empire right now (whoduvthunkit,
I'm actually enjoying a X-box exclusive title)

but 9.9?? gimme a break IGN. Guess no one taught the IGN people
about how you should never forge A's on their report card

I have to say I was crushingly disappointed by biowares latest
outing. Its like they went backwards and used a version of the
engine developed for Kotor from four years ago. All of the following
features or areas went backwards in my opinion:

NPC management - Where is the ability to control how my various
companions grow and develop? This area is totally missing. What
happened to being able to outfit my npcs with my choice of gear and
loot?

The Loot System - Previous bioware games have enjoyed deep inventory
systems with interesting rewards, hidden items, a wide varity of
armor and weapons, items that granted special abilities, modified
skills, etc.... The loot system in Jade Empire is utterly cut down
and anemic. The choice between a sword and a staff? Gems with a few
exceptions do nothing except increase my base health/stamina/and chi
pools. All to varrying degrees. By the end of the game you are
looking for nothing more than +4or +6 to all three stat items, which
essential do the same thing as the very first gems you find only
better. Utterly boring and forgettable.

Skills - My god, what happended here? Normally bio-wares rich
implitation of skills makes for fun and difficult choices in
character development. Do I want to be able to repair things and
break into locks? Or do I want to make friends and influence people.
No skills in an RPG? What we were left with was a very crappy dialog
heavy mind numbing fighting game. More on that in a minute.

The new fighting engine - I understand wanting to broaden their
audience and move away from number heavy/complicated turned based
combat. But the replacement they come up with in a word is c

9.9 by IGN? TOO MUCH. Kinda like PCGamer giving a super high rating
for Doom 3. Both games didn't deserve such high marks by either
reviewer! FLOP!

Other reviewers won't come near the 99% or 9.9 mark. Probably
atleast a 95% or 9.5 at the max.

What a bad reviewer lol. Musta been paid $!

How is the GC a console someone "should have had"? It
doesn't have a wide enough gamebase to be the "console of
choice" for everyone.

I'd prefer a random PC game to seeing a Jade Empire or Halo 2 review
here.

Why waste time reviewing RE4 when it has been out for months and
already reviewed by dozens and dozens of sites and publications?

You obviously already have your opinion on the game formed so why do
you care if it gets reviewed?

GX-WarSpite...... PLEASE review Resident Evil 4.
I know it might be tough to accumulate $150 dollars to get a console
you should have had, Gamecube, and purchase a game....

But I personally think it's worth it, being the best game since
Ocarina.
