Yeah I can't believe Gothic 3 isnt on this list. And Gothic 2 was a
hack and slash? The interface was terrible? Did anyone here even
play Gothic 2??? Its pretty clear this site has degenerated into a
WW2 and RTS site. Not Gothic 2 or Temple Of Elemental Evil review
but what, 10 or 15 articles on Rome: Total War? It there a WW2
game that exists that hasnt been reviewed here?
This site used to have a really great balance. Man talk about the
old days. Please...don't write RPG articles if you think the
Witcher looks like a traditional RPG. I mean really - stick with
what you are good at.

gothic is a free for all hack and slash type of game, whats better
than having a pack of possessed ogres chasing you down throwing fire
or if the conservative rpg gamer chased down with clubs and if you
think about it its great gameplay
i dont blame you for not listing it, its losing its touch with the
photorealism in the new one but just wait and see maybe they can
pull it off
did you play the 2nd

I totally understand, the interface in Gothic sucks! How hard is it
to add a keymapper?

Simple: didn't see it.
Besides, until they fix the interface, I have absolutely no desire
to play the Gothic games.

Quality-wise, not necessarily gameplay-wise.

Played a lot of Guild Wars. Fun. Recommended. Lacks two major
essential features:
1. Auction and Trading Center
2. Automated Group Formation for Quests and Missions
A lot of game time is wasted because it consists of just standing
around or trying to put a group together.
No monthly fee to play. Support has been good.

i wonder if oblvilion is gonna be reased as crap code that requires
40 patchs to make the game playable, ala grand Bethsoft tradition.
dont get me wrong, i loved Daggerfall, but at some point i'd like to
actually play the game as opposed to diagnose FPS slowdown
/ctd bug #54.

What's with Witcher being comparable to Baldu's Gate?
Looked like a single character adventure, and if it comes from NWN
engine, it most likely will be. What made BG great was the party and
the control you had over it, which made combat much more tactical
than the Diablo-like hackfest of NWN.
But blimey, looks like most RPG combat is being dumbed down to
Diablo level with about zero thinking or coordination required.

you all have no idea what the real best rpg will be, but i saw the
screens, it looks too real, like jurassic park, it looks more like a
deer hunter or ww2 game than a prequel, but its definately next gen
