This thing probably needs two batteries worth of power just to
finish booting up before it dies.

7lbs is considered heavy when you travel as much as I do for my job.
When I used to work for the DoD, I carried around a Panasonic
Toughbook, which was even heavier. We loved the Toughbooks, but
hated carrying them around. Having one slung over your shoulder
while you walk around an airport or walk about a military
installation -- it gets to you, trust me.
I work for a private top secret company now, and am involved with
50% of the IT purchases. Everyone wants a TnL laptop now.

I've got a DELL XPS 3.4 ghz 2 gig ram 256meg grahics card. These
new desktop replacements &$#!$@@. I needed it for working from home
and at work on the same machine and gaming on it as well.
Couldn't ask for much more in speed wise its apparently only 10%
slower than the PC version but yeah there not the best for
traveling, they are a bit of a brick to travel with but still fine
to travel short trips on. Give me twice the power and ability to
game anyday over a few hours of battery life i'll never use.

weight of your current notebook,if you feel thats heavy be wary of a
mild breeze as you could be blown away very easily :)

If you have to ask about battery life, you probably can't afford it.

Good Lord that thing must be heavy. I carry around a 7lb notebook
for work and I don't even like lugging this thing around. However
it's obvious this 19" notebook is catering to a certain crowd.
Yeah, I could have gone with a thin and light notebook myself, but I
wanted more power for playing gam -- er, I mean, having more
spreadsheets open.
