| | (Post a comment) » More Info On Upcoming Half-Life 2 Episodic ChaptersThe newest issue of PC Gamer magazine has a short article on Valve's plans for episodic content for their first person shooter sequel Half-Life 2. While Episode 1 is already well underway a chat with Valve head mad Gabe Newell by the magazine revealed that Episode 2 is already underway by a separate development team at Valve. Furthermore, once Episode 1 is completed later this year, that dev team will begin work on Episode 3. Episodes 1-3 will basically be a trilogy that will conclude the storyline that started in the original game. And yes there is even an Episode 4 in the works but that section is actually a stand alone story being handled by an unnamed team outside of Valve. The article also talks about Valve perhaps taking the Half-Life universe into other game genres, with Newell saying his dream idea is a Half-Life based third person tactical game. |  Previous news article | Back to main news | Next news article  |

I think that by the time they release these people won't really care
unless they come out together in a pack. Episode 1 will be about 2
years after Half Life 2 and by the time we get to Episode 3 we are
talking 3 years down the line.

i think it would be UBER to play as The G-man. you're only weapons
are: the ability manipulate time/space, use people, hack any
technology, and use your briefcase to knock the ƒuck out people.

Episodes = more money for valve. Charging $30 per episode is lame,
so its gonna cost me $120 to finish the halflife2 storyline...
