The first patch (1.01) fixed the loeading issues TBH. Although I
agree that they should've fixed that before. The 20MB patch was
considered "big" considering that not everyone had
broadband then.
I didn't run into other bugs, even though I have read about a few.
But yea, the headshot is one of the things I really liked about the
game. When I first played HL, my reaction wasn't "OMG AI"
like many, but "what happened to the headshot". I think HL
supported it, but it wasn't as noticeable as SiN.
And I also like the RL in SiN. It is not overwhelmingly powerful or
fast, and it takes a few direct hits to take out a fully armored
opponent. But that made duels more interesting IMO.

SIN had bloody awful load times, getting stuck inside doors and a
buttload of other terrible bugs, which might or might not have been
fixed with patches later on... but, it did bring headshots to the
FPS genre, as well as being the first FPS' to have decent sniping.

The only bad taste I had from Sin was the fast it needed a patch to
have sound. Once I had the patch I loved it and it was for sure
underated. I will be playing the new "Episodes". Sin had
one of the best rocket launchers in FPS history IMO.

SIN was awful, what game version did you have? I wouldn't play an
"Episode" if they paid me to. First impressions stick I
suppose, my first impression was "They actually released this
software?!" right after several General Protection Faults
caused by the SIN..

SiN was way underated. Although I wonder how Episodes is going to be
like.
