| | (Post a comment) » Tomb Raider: Legend delayed due to exposed nipple? [Updated]Xboxic is reporting that Eidos has delayed the release of Tomb Raider: Legend PC by a few days after someone discovered a texture from the game showing an exposed breast complete with nipple. From Xboxic:
The game contains a chapter set in Tokyo, where several women are dancing in the distance. To keep it simple for the animators they had initially modeled all the women naked, so they could simply drape different dresses around them later. Why the breasts were there complete with nipples initially I don’t want to know, but the funny thing is that the developers did their work right: in the final version of the game that part of the texture is not even mapped to any points in the meshes. Translation for the less-technical people is that it is beyond impossible to see the breast in-game, you can only see it when you are ripping textures out of the game’s files.
Update from John: I just got off the phone with Eidos's US PR head who told me that the nude textures that are shown on the Xboxic web site are NOT in the US version of the game and there are NO plans to delay the release of Tomb Raider: Legend in any of its platforms in the US. The game is still due on US shores April 11. When asked the Eidos PR rep could not confirm if those nude textures are present in the European version of the game. | Previous news article | Back to main news | Next news article |

everyone know tomb raider lost its buzz 10 years ago. This is a
feeble attempt to spark some publicity. It has worked on me.
