Avary's case against Microsoft goes to trial in October of 2006, and
was not thrown out. (It's in the public record, if you bothered to
look it up.) His case has, in fact, weathered motion for summary
judgement attempts by a phalanx of Microsoft attorneys.

look it up. avary accused microsoft of stealing an idea from him and
tried to take them to court for several million. it was then
revealed that another firm owned partially by microsoft had secured
superior and much more in depth IP and technical demos from another
company many years before avary claims to have invented the idea.
the court case against microsoft was thrown out of court, and avary
has been blacklisted from working in the gaming industry.. and the
original creator of the concepts and techdemos has been rewarded
handsomely by microsoft for helping them prove avary was lying and
getting the case thrown out of court.
inside track now is that no gaming firm will touch him since he is
now a well known plagiarist and liar. however, there is nothing to
stop him from writing screenplays and directing movies. who knows
what other crimes he has committed? once a person stoops to that
level, the sky is the limit for the %$%$%@ things they will do.
thought you guys knew all this, it was all over the net in forums
and messageboards although avary did his best to keep it out of the
mainstream news. :|
hope that answers your question.

But F and F is better then gone in 60 seconds though.

Kind of makes us all wonder if the well-known plagiarism that got
him blacklisted from consulting for microsoft will carry over to his
scriptwriting...

What other course can it really take. Sounds like it would be more
in the vein of Gone in 60 Seconds. Which was alot better than FnF.
