| | (Post a comment) » Prey Collector's Edition AnnouncedAs is the case with many other recent titles, 2K Games announced today plans to release a collector's edition of Prey, the upcoming first person shooter from developers Human Head and 3D Realms. The collector's edition will be available for both the Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game and the PC version will be on one DVD. Among the goodies in the collector's edition (which will be in special metal packages) are two pewter figurines of the main character Tommy and one of the game's alien Hunters, a book that looks at the art of the game and an offer for a free download from DirectSong.com for the Prey soundtrack. Anyone who pre-orders the collector's edition will get an extra pewter figurine of the Mutate character. You can look at what some of the extras in the collector's edition of the game look like in the shots above. | Previous news article | Back to main news | Next news article |

You're right, maybe that should have a "choking hazard"
label on it too.

The last cd only game that I bought was Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 here
in the UK, that was back in November 2004. Every game bought since
is on dvd.

I'll try out the Prey demo, but can we please start getting games on
DVD that aren't pricier special/limited/collector editions? PC
games on DVDs are pretty much the standard in other countries, so
why not here? The argument that a lot of people still don't have
drives in their computers to read DVDs is very dated. An expensive
video card is a requirement, so why not a cheap DVD drive? I would
think it'd be cheaper to press one DVD instead of 2-6 CDs anyway.
