SIDEBAR: Final Fantasy XII takes place in Ivarice, the same world featured in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. Judge characters from the Tactics world also play a role in FFXII.

SIDEBAR: Final Fantasy XII’s visuals are noticeably improved, despite having half the polygon count of Final Fantasy X.

We suspect that all that calculating power has gone to a better place… perhaps in short-shorts and micro-skirt routines. That’s where we’d be, if we were PS2 code.

We hope that you’ve enjoyed the very first images of Final Fantasy XII. While no North American release has been announced yet, Square Enix did say that FFXII will hit Japan during Summer 2004.
