Beautiful Graphics, great music, FUN, and CHALLENGING. If you loved Homeworld and Cataclysm, you will love this game as well.

Unless you frequently use the PAUSE command, so that you may regroup ships, queue up builds, issue orders and so on, the game can be really difficult.
Some annoying bugs: some ships lose grouping after launching, and after loading some saved games, framerate drops (there is a workaround for the fps drop)

A lot of folks are giving this game a hard time because it really is hard...if you don't know exactly how to use your fleet and use the pause command as I mentioned before. I admit I was somewhat perturbed at the early missions because it was SO hard...then I really took my time and planned what I was going to do next. PAUSE the game and look over the situation. Queue up your fleet's actions, unpause, and watch the battle unfold. Pausing also lets you zoom and move around all the action so you CAN appreciate those gorgeous graphics too.
Oh, and before you unpause after calculating a possibly risky strategy, SAVE the game.
Awesome game. A worthy successor to Homeworld and Cataclysm. |
