-this game is for rich people.
-would be marginally enjoyable if you had a good comp with everything smooth. Is nothing special, read on to the Cons to find out.

-if you have a poor machine, even playing on 640x480 with everything turned low will cause the game to load for like 3 seconds on almost every corner you turn.
-The sound, one time suddenly turn extreme loud, and could have fcked up my speakers.
-Is it scary? It's more like those 80's B-Movie type scares. Things poping up behind you, stuff in lockers jumping out saying boo. Cheesy cliche garbage that Doom3 has already beat the crap out of.

So why will you buy this game? Because of the hype? Don't! Because of the firefights? Ahahhaha, it's a joke to have that as a selling point. After playing Quake4 and comparing to this game, this game is a notch or 2 down from the quality and the detail the programmers put in. Quake 4's was almost exquisit, with fear you get flat ass textures.
Get Quake4 instead if you want a scare, trust me, it will scare you without those stupid "scary sound behind the door" cheesy crap that they put in every other corridor you walk thru.
Here is my machine: Amd2100 ati radeon 9700. 512 ram.
Q4 ran great, but Fear was extremely bad. The 2 Fear patches doesn't even touch up on any performance issues in the single player evven though many were complaining about this. Garbage support. |
