I must say that I haven't played a good Sci-Fi RTS like this since Starcraft. Just from the feel of the game flow gives me back that adrenaline rush. I know the site review says that the only way to win is with a big army, but that is not exactly true after playing a multiplayer campaign. There are so many subtle tactical approach to the game that keeps you on your toes just to one-up the enemy. Although, it does require a bit of micromanaging throughout the game. But come on. What RTSer has ever played w/o having to micromanage something?
Overall, Dawn of War a good fresh feel for a SciFi RTS. It's not going to replace SC, but this will keep me busy until Blizzard (or someone!) does something about SC2. |
