Multiplayer is desperately lacking. The current online play is basically a timed trial against other racers. There are no modes where you can play against five other racers at the same time.

My brother picked up this title then recommended it to me. We played career mode for a while and eventually tried an online race. We were both very disappointed that we could not race with each other at the same time on the same track.
In it's current state, the multiplayer component of DiRT seems unpolished and unfinished.
Otherwise the game excels in all the other areas such as sound, graphics, cars and track layout.
I'm giving this game a 50 until Codemasters fixes online play. At this point in time for console or PC games, there is no excuse not to have a polished multiplayer component in a motorsport racing game. |
