Absolutely monstrous battles.
Decent to very nice graphics.
Excellent netcode.
Good weapons design.
Good vehicle design.
| » Cons | | |
Poor sounds. Guns should sound authoritative. These have little to none.
In-between hack tedium gets irritating.
Game does not have long replayability (as it stands.) With no war objectives and rapidly changing base hands, frustration mounts with lack of stable accomplishments.

I began playing the beta back in March and was delighted with the size and the scope of the game. Obviously the selling point of this game is the ability to have these ubelievably large battles. With these battles, sometimes the game can start to jerk around. But it starts doing this when you have about 150+ people from all 3 empires vying for a single base, which is a testament to the excellent netcode in place.
However, the selling point for MMOs is longevity and a sense of accomplishment. Other than reaching new BRs and CRs which only open additional weapons access, this game has zero longevity. Continental locks are lost almost immediately after obtaining. Bases fall because no one stays to defend. Outposts are unchecked unless used as a spawning point for a nearby battle. The game is pure-bred FPS design, except with the additional hacked base wait. Which drives most FPS players out of their gourds.
The lack of longevity and accomplishment is the most major drawback of the game. About a week before they shut down the servers prior to release, I had quit playing altogether. Even for free, I couldn't partake any more interest. For a hardcore FPS player looking for intense action, the game has it in spades. But there are prolonged periods of "in between". For a typical MMORPG player, there is no accomplishment, no notoriety. Just no fame and fortune!
Until Sony Online solves the issue of lack of accomplishment sense, there will be a rise and fall in the population of the game as players' free trial subscriptions run out. As a typical FPS player myself, I can live with the long base defense wait. As long as it shows what we did and leaves a 'lasting' mark on the game. At least for a few days. |

"Good not great" by: Specter Overall, I must say, I loved the game, I got addicted to it for a month, but it does wear thin after that. But any game that mantains my interest for ...more
