Usual standard of excellence we have come to expect from AMD. Having the increases L2 cache obviously makes a big impact in performance. I don't understand why AMD chose a lower speed as it also overclocks with decent stability.
The only con I can think of is that the new AMD 64 chips will be out before the end of the year. Not sure I'd plunk down the cash for this chip when it's price will most surely drop to ridiculously low levels by the end of the summer!!!
Still, I am a pretty big fan of AMD chips since my first one, an AMD XP 2200+ I overclocked to an AMD XP 2400+, and would recommend this chip over the P4 3.06 GHz as it gives you equal or better functionality with a still cheaper price tag. If you got some cash and need a brand spanking new computer this is a good chip to get!
