My Experiance; I've owned the Matrox Mystique, 3dfx voodoo, 3dfx Voodoo3, Nvidia Geforce 4 ti4600, Nvidia Nforce2, Nvidia Nforce3. I compared friends recomendations and website reviews to come to the conclusion of purchasing the 6800 GT

Why BFG? The warrenty (period). My friends,,, a lifetime warrenty for computer products only exists for one company, BFG. You'll never see this for any other graphics card or computer component, not even standard components from Plextor or ViewSonic or Sony. I also purchased this because of the 20 MHZ overclock, this is also covered by the warrenty, and I will never need to overclock anymore, If I were to, I won't see much more improvement without better cooling and voiding the lifetime warrenty. The cooling and overclock are perfect for the card in it's default configuration. The temperatures never get into the 'red'.

The warrenty. Did I mention it's good to have this? Quick story, --My geforce 4 broke after about 2 years for no reason, I never overclocked past the specified area by gainward. One day I moved the mouse to get off the screen saver and crack, the video resets and my screen is covered with various characters in lines accross the screen. It was the matrix. Except my card wouldn't boot windows past safe mode in 640*480 with matrix style lines across the screen.

Gainward did replace my card, but I wanted the new 6800, and gainward hadent released thiers, so I turned to BFG. BFG for life.

The card thus far has preformed perfectly, anyone can check internet reviews for GeForce 6800 GT performance comparisons. In the BFG's case, a decent overclock gives BFG owners the satisfaction of knowing that with every benchmark online, were' closer to the next highest card rating than anyone using the standard 6800 GT!

If it breaks BFG fixes it, for life.

Other 6800 GT's can be a little cheaper and include a full game. Although they lack lifetime warrenty (eVGA only has a 1 year warrenty) and the warrenty covers the default overclock.

So far I'm happy with the product, haven't had any problems with it; Driver or installation wise (it only takes up one slot). But 1 game would've been nice (-8pts).

*I'm running the card using a 600 watt psu and athlon 64 3200+ with 1 GB ram

*I mention the bigest performance jump since voodoo in my title line, this is true. When I went from on-board 2d graphics to 3d graphics of voodoo playing quake and the voodoo demo's, I was wowed. And I haven't been wowed since by computer graphics until this card, along with farcry, painkiller and doom3 of course.

*good job BFG, Nvidia
